Thane Mayor Naresh Mhaske has accused the civic administration of holding him in the dead of night in regards to the municipal company receiving the central authorities’s Swachh Survekshan award 2021.

He mentioned that the elected representatives in TMC are fully upset over the protocol not being adopted and the “repeated insult” of the mayor, and added that they’re planning a “non-cooperation movement”. He advised the civic chief that the administration and the elected representatives act as two wheels. “But this attitude of the administration are turning things sour,” he mentioned.
The mayor requested the commissioner to hold out an inquiry into the episode and take motion in opposition to these accountable for it.
