Seeped In Her Husband’s Colours: Pulwama Hero’s Wife Dons Army Uniform

Just a little over two years in the past, Nitika Kaul blew a painful farewell kiss at her ‘simple and sweet’ love story. Standing in addition to a Tricolour-covered coffin in Dehradun one February day in 2020, she saved asking mourners to remain robust slightly. Today, 25 months later, Lt Gen Y Okay Joshi, chief of the Indian Army’s Northern Command, pipped the celebrities on Lieutenant Nikita Kaul’s uniform as she handed out of the Officer’s Training Academy, Chennai.

Lt Kaul was among the many 31 Short Service Commission girl cadets who obtained handed out at this time from the establishment.

Major Dhoundiyal was one among the many 4 troopers – Sepoy Hari Singh, 27, Havaldar Sheo Ram, 37, and Sepoy Ajay Kumar, 27, who died in an 18-hour gunbattle in Pulwama, Kashmir on February 20.
